Employees of the Service for Combating Extremism and Illegal Migration of the Department of Internal Affairs for Batken region detained a citizen of Uzbekistan, a member of Taliban terrorist organization. The press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
The terrorist followed Uzbekistan-Kyrgyzstan-Tajikistan-Afghanistan route for subversive and terrorist training in one of the militant camps in Afghanistan and for further participation in military operations against Syrian government troops.
The man was detained on the territory of Batken region. Electronic media, literature in Arabic, warm clothes, a flashlight, food were confiscated from the man. The collected material was transferred to the State Committee for National Security department for Batken region for investigation.
