Migrants want benefits for opening businesses in Kyrgyzstan

The President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbai Jeenbekov met with the compatriots working abroad today. The Information Policy Department of the Presidential Administration reported.

The participants of the meeting exchanged views on improving the country's investment climate, strengthening a prosperous environment for entrepreneurship and the development of the economy of Kyrgyzstan. They thanked the president for supporting their initiatives, told about their plans on possible investment in the economy of the regions, in the whole country.    

The participant of the meeting Omurbek Umetaliev noted that compatriots contributed to the development of the regions, which would contribute to the reduction of migration. The entrepreneur Tolkunbai Akmatov touched upon the issues of health insurance and pension payments in the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union. Marat Isaev expressed his request to assist in resolving the issues of migration registration. Bakyt Abdykadyrov noted the need to introduce new technologies in the light industry and enter a new level of the sewing business.

The President of the International Business Association Akbar Marazykov suggested considering the possibility of granting tax and fiscal checks benefits to enterprises that were established in Kyrgyzstan by labor migrants.

"I am grateful to our migrants, who organize foundations, public associations and help their village, their homeland. Gradually, labor migrants turn into real investors of Kyrgyzstan's new economy. They contribute to the economy of the country," the president stressed.

Sooronbai Jeenbekov noted that the government and the parliament were working on the issues discussed. At the end of the meeting, the head of state presented the participants with the epic "Manas" book.
