Russia provides Kyrgyzstan with over 2,000 grant places at universities annually

Each year, Russia provides Kyrgyzstan with more than 2,000 grant places at its institutions of higher education. Lyudmila Dudova, the First Deputy Chairwoman of the Commission of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation for the Development of Science and Education, said during a video conference «Teaching of Russian and use of the Russian language in Kyrgyzstan and Russian-Kyrgyz cooperation in this field.»

She noted that Kyrgyzstan had always paid great attention to the teaching of the Russian language.

«The list of professions, where the Kyrgyz citizens are enrolled, is expanding. There is a growing need for specialists in agriculture and industry; the interest in the departments for training of specialists in basic sciences increases. We are moving away from training only lawyers, and today there are more than five areas on the list,» she said.
