Collegium of Internal Affairs Ministry: Police should work more effectively

For the first half of the year, 14,339 incidents and crimes were registered by the internal affairs agencies of the Kyrgyz Republic, 12,830 criminal cases were instituted, 8,896 criminal cases were sent to court. Such results were announced at the meeting of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

It is noted that 10,661 crimes have been solved during the investigation of criminal cases of the past years and for the current period.

The Minister of Internal Affairs Kashkar Dzhunushaliev pointed to the shortcomings in the work of the heads of a number of services and to the poor organization of work on solving of robberies, thefts, and the search for criminals.

«The reform of the internal affairs bodies is carried out with the aim of increasing the effectiveness of the work of the police. It is our duty to develop and strengthen the created six independent services, to carry out further necessary work. At present, there is a need to change the form, structure, direction of activity, to increase and expand services in the regions by working directly with the population,» said Kashkar Dzhunushaliev.

It is necessary to strengthen the work of district police commissioners and juvenile inspectors. The issues of crime prevention and offenses are not at the proper level. It is necessary to improve the conditions, strengthen the service of district police commissioners.
