The list of specialties and the volume of admission of applicants to higher educational institutions on the basis of grants from the state for 2018/19 academic year was approved. The Information Support Department of the Government’s Executive Office reported.
At least 5,705 state educational grants were provided for the forthcoming academic year. At the same time, 4,903 budget-funded places were allocated for the higher educational institutions, subordinated to the Ministry of Education and Science. The remaining state-funded places will be financed through other state bodies, taking into account the existing need for personnel and the analysis of the employment of the graduates.
According to the Ministry of Labor and Social Development, the spheres of industry, construction, agriculture, transport and communications, services, health care and education mostly need personnel today.
«When allocating grants, the need to train specialists for priority sectors of the domestic economy — such as industry (mining, oil refining, light, food, assembly production), agriculture, energy, tourism was taken into account. In addition, in connection with the implementation of Taza Koom program, an increase in the number of state-funded places for specialties in the field of computer technologies is envisaged,» the Cabinet stressed.
