Mukhammedkaly Abylgaziev tells about development of country's aviation industry

The Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Mukhammedkaly Abylgaziev took part in the opening ceremony of the renovated arrival lounge at Jalal-Abad International Airport as part of his working trip to Osh and Jalal-Abad regions. The Public Relations and Media Department of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.

«I believe that the opening of a new arrival lounge in the region, new airlines is a great achievement. In recent years, active work has been carried out to reconstruct airports in the regions. The aviation industry has found its place in the domestic economy,» said Mukhammedkaly Abylgaziev.

According to the head of the government, the main part of the problems is in the countryside, since about 70 percent of the population lives there.

«If our villages are developed, regions and the country as a whole will be developed. If every region has established air service, modernized transport network, then, in my opinion, this will be a great contribution to the development of the economy of the republic,» said Mukhammedkaly Abylgaziev.

The head of government noted that the increasing number of flights indicates the development of the country and improvement of the quality of life of the citizens.

The Prime Minister said that in 2017, at least 10,950 domestic flights were recorded, which is 1,944 more than in 2016.

The head of government inspected the new terminal complex and got acquainted with the plans for the development of Osh and Batken international airports, and also examined the sketch designs of the terminals in Kerben and Isfana.
