Municipal minibuses may appear in Bishkek. The Bishkek City Administration informed 24.kg news agency.
According to the Vice Mayor of the capital Gennady Militsky, one of the routes wants to abandon the services of a private company and move under the management of the Bishkek Passenger Road and Transport Enterprise.
«They are ready to come with their fleet of vehicles, minibuses. If this is possible, then why not. We study how this can be done. Perhaps, we will refuse some firms and will try to carry out transportation by minibuses under the aegis of the Сity Transport Department,» said Gennady Militsky.
He added that at present the mayor’s office coordinates with other departments the cost of transportation.
Recall, during the strike on April 2, drivers of minibuses raised the issue of increasing the passenger fare.
