The national company Kyrgyz Temir Zholu reported on the closure of Bishkek-Torugart and Boom gorge roads.
From April 24 to April 26, drilling and blasting operations will be carried out at the section of Bishkek-Torugart road (the old road). The movement of vehicles at the section from the 103rd to 117th km from 8.00 am to 10.00 pm will be completely closed. The cars moving towards Issyk-Kul should use the bypass road.
In addition, from April 23 to May 4, the forced descent of stones will be carried out at the section of Bishkek-Naryn-Torugart road in Boom gorge. Movement of traffic will be periodically blocked from 9.00 am to 3.00 pm on these days.
«With the accumulation of more than 30-40 vehicles, the descent of stones will be stopped, and the cars will be passed. The works will be carried out at daylight hours under favorable weather conditions,» Kyrgyz Temir Zholu stressed.
