Kyrgyzstan asks EEU for assistance in Taza Koom, Taza Suu projects

Kyrgyzstan asked the European Union to consider the projects Taza Koom and Taza Suu. The EU is ready to cooperate, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to Belgium Asein Isaev told journalists today.

Kyrgyzstan received a mandate to conduct negotiations on enhanced cooperation with the European Union. «Both ours and the European parties have questions. This agreement will fundamentally change the relationship. The president insists that national interests should be taken into account. This will ultimately lead to mutual benefit. There are different standards, the economic situation in Kyrgyzstan and the EU. The agreement will make the relationship mutually interesting. Now it is difficult for us to make a mutual exchange. After that, the partnership in economy, finance, education, agriculture will improve,» said Asein Isaev.

According to him, the plans of the European Union coincide with the plans of Kyrgyzstan. The EU was interested in the projects Taza Koom and Taza Suu.

Another round of talks on a new long-term cooperation agreement between Kyrgyzstan and the EU will take place in Brussels on April 17-18.
