The chess legend, multiple world champion, the deputy of the State Duma of Russia Anatoly Karpov will arrive in Kyrgyzstan. The President of the Chess Federation of the Kyrgyz Republic Milan Turpanov informed 24.kg news agency.
According to him, the visit is timed to the 5th Cup of the President of Kyrgyzstan, which takes place on March 17-23 in Bishkek. On March 24, the winners and prizewinners will be awarded, and Karpov will participate in the ceremony.
«In 2017, Anatoly Evgenievich twice came to the Kyrgyz Republic at the invitation of our federation — to the Cup of the President and the first ever Asian championship among the disabled people. The upcoming visit will become a holiday for young players and assistance in the development and promotion of chess in the Kyrgyz Republic,» Milan Turpanov said.
