The Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Sapar Isakov, head of the Presidential Administration Mukhammedkaliy Abylgaziev and the government’s representative to Jalal-Abad region Kiyanbek Satybaldiev paid tribute to the victims of the Aksy events in Bospiek village. The government’s press service reported.
The demonstrators protesting against the transfer of a part of the Kyrgyz territories to China were shot dead there.
«Today we commemorate those who went to fight against authoritarianism for the benefit of their people’s future and sacrificed their lives for this. They did not die at the hands of external enemies, but from the bullets of their own power. We are deeply saddened by the fact that the previous leadership of the republic opposed its own people. Having put their own interests above the people, they showed their true face, their malign essence,» said Sapar Isakov and noted that this power did not exist for a long time.
The Prime Minister stressed that the only source of power is the people, without whose support the authorities can not exist for a long time.
«The events in Aksy take an exceptional place in the history of our state. We are working hard to make life in our country better. Schools, kindergartens, new roads, power lines, and other infrastructure projects are being built. We do not intend to stop,» the head of the Cabinet concluded.
A prayer was said in memory of the victims of Aksy events.
As part of a working trip to Jalal-Abad and Osh regions, Sapar Isakov got acquainted with the work of the clinical and biochemical laboratory of the Family Medicine Center in Kerben city. The Prime Minister instructed the relevant state bodies to make proposals on its major reconstruction and purchase of new medical equipment.
