President tells about Kyrgyzstan’s pivot to China, Uzbekistan

The President of Kyrgyzstan told about the country’s pivot to Uzbekistan and China. Almazbek Atambayev announced today at a meeting of the National Council for Sustainable Development.

According to him, now, it is necessary to take a loan and build a railway jointly with brotherly Uzbekistan, because simultaneously it will be possible to connect the north and south of Kyrgyzstan by rail.

«Sapar Dzhumakadyrovich (Isakov, Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan — note by 24.kg news agency) will draw up a loan. It will take several years. But construction of Kashgar — Osh — Tashkent highway should be started now. A few tens of millions of dollars are required there,» Almazbek Atambayev said.

The head of state also stressed that those who talk about the uselessness of agricultural products of Kyrgyzstan in China are blatantly lying.

«Chairman of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping told me repeatedly that China needs environmentally friendly products. They grow everything using fertilizers. And we do not even have a factory. We have environmentally friendly products. Hence, we must work with China, since we are cut off from EEU. We must go to China and Uzbekistan. Our potato, I see, is sold there very well,» Almazbek Atambayev concluded.
