Only 8 Kyrgyz villages get access to drinking water in 2016

Only eight villages in Kyrgyzstan got access to drinking water in 2016. This was stated today at the meeting of Ata Meken parliamentary faction.

According to deputy Saidulla Nyshanov, 390 villages have no water. «The same data was in the last year. Was it possible even to correct the figures? The report does not say a word about a village that was supplied with water," the deputy said.

The government explained that the program until 2026 was developed on Taza Suu project. This year, 200 million soms are allocated for it. Investments from international donors are expected. In 2016, there have been allocated 80 million soms, which were spent on supply of eight villages with water.
