The Culture Department of the Bishkek mayor’s office announced a tender for the purchase of fireworks presentation services. 1.2 million soms were allocated from the budget for four fireworks during 2017.
The procurement department explained 24.kg news agency that the festive fireworks for Bishkek residents and guests will be organized on the City Day (April 29), Victory Day (May 9), Independence Day (August 31) and on the occasion of the New Year (31st of December).
Bishkek mayor’s office annually pays a similar amount for the fireworks. Last year, the City Day was not celebrated, so the allocated money was spent on preparation for the New Year.
