It is suggested to name unmarked peak in Ak-Suu district of Issyk-Kul region «Peak of the Heroes of the April Revolution." The initiative was voiced by the officials of the State Agency for Local Government and Interethnic Relations under the government of Kyrgyzstan.
The corresponding bill has already been submitted to the country’s Parliament. It is specified that the peak with a height of 4,142.2 meters, located on Teskey Ala-Too Ridge in the territory of the Ak-Suu district of Issyk-Kul region, is proposed to be given the name «Peak of the Heroes of April Revolution».
Deputies of the Chelpek rural council of Ak-Suu district supported the idea. It has also been approved by the interdepartmental commission for the consideration of issues on the administrative-territorial structure and geographical names and was coordinated with the ministries and departments of the republic.
Now the deputies of the Parliament are to approve this initiative.
Kyrgyzstan will mark the 7th anniversary of April revolution on April 7, 2017.
