Juvenile delinquency in 2016 decreases

The juvenile delinquency in Kyrgyzstan in 2016 has decreased by 24.1 percent compared to 2015 — from 1,071 facts to 812. The data was presented by the press service of the government.
According to it, the number of crimes committed against minors decreased by 16.6 percent — from 1,010 facts to 842.
The number of sexual offenses committed against minors decreased by 39.5 percent — from 182 to 110 facts.
Number of extortion facts among students of educational institutions has decreased by 41.6 percent, from 149 to 87 facts.
The government recalls: Kyrgyzstan implements the State Program on Justice Development for Children in 2014–2018. The mentioned above statistics, according to the Cabinet, demonstrates the positive results of the preventive work of the organs of the juvenile justice system.
