Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Bakyt Torobaev called his colleague from Turkmenistan Mammetkhan Chakyev. They discussed the organization of multimodal cargo transportation from Kyrgyzstan to Russia and Europe. The Cabinet of Ministers reported.
The parties discussed cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and Turkmenistan in the fields of energy, transport, infrastructure, agriculture and trade. They emphasized the importance of continuing development of trade relations and increasing the flow of goods through the Caspian Sea. This opens up great opportunities for creating convenient logistics both within the region and beyond.
In this context, the organization of transportation along Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan-Turkmenistan-Russia route or through the Azerbaijani port Alyat to Europe is discussed.
According to the parties, such a route will help strengthen economic cooperation between the states and improve opportunities for the transportation of goods within the region and for export to Europe.
At the end of October, Deputy Chairman of the Association of International Cargo Carriers of the Kyrgyz Republic Igor Golubev told about the work being done to create a new transport corridor across the Caspian Sea.
