Kyrgyzstan will mark World Health Day on April 7, an annual initiative of the World Health Organization aimed at drawing attention to key health issues and disease prevention.
According to the Republican Center for Health Promotion and Mass Communication, the 2026 theme is «Together for health. Stand with science,» launching a global campaign focused on the role of science and cooperation in protecting health.
The World Health Organization is calling on governments, the medical community, and the public to rely on evidence-based data, strengthen trust in healthcare systems, and implement effective solutions to safeguard the health of people, animals, and the environment under the One Health concept.
The day serves as a reminder that individual health largely depends on lifestyle, awareness, and timely access to medical care.
In Kyrgyzstan, World Health Day will be accompanied by a large-scale information and educational campaign aimed at raising public awareness and promoting the use of modern scientific advances in healthcare. The country will host scientific conferences, as well as educational and outreach events.
Experts emphasize that many diseases can be prevented through simple measures such as regular check-ups, proper hygiene, physical activity, a balanced diet, and avoiding harmful habits.
