In the first nine months of 2024, Kyrgyzstan exported 15 percent more gold than in the same period of 2023. The National Statistical Committee provided the data.
In total, during this period, Kyrgyzstan exported 11.3 tons of gold worth $853 million. This is a 15 percent increase in weight and a 37 percent increase in value compared to the same period last year, when 9.9 tons worth $619 million were exported.
The leading buyer of Kyrgyz gold in 2024 was the United Kingdom. The UK purchased 8.5 tons of gold for $660 million, accounting for 75 percent of the total gold export volume.
