President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov, having completed his working visit to Riyadh (Saudi Arabia) on November 11, left for Azerbaijan to participate in the 29th Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). The press service of the head of state reported.
On November 12, Sadyr Japarov will take part in the opening ceremony of the Climate Summit in Baku and will speak at the plenary session of the conference.
More than 100 heads of state and government, as well as 150 delegations from around the world are expected to participate in the work of the UNFCCC.
On November 13, the event «High-Level Dialogue: Advancing the Mountain Agenda and Mainstreaming the Topic of Mountains and Climate Change» will be held within the conference. The event was organized by Kyrgyzstan together with Azerbaijan and Mongolia. President Sadyr Japarov, President of Mongolia Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh, President of Nepal Ram Chandra Poudel, as well as heads of other delegations and representatives of international organizations will deliver speeches during the dialogue.
The official delegation of the Kyrgyz Republic includes:
- Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeenbek Kulubaev;
- Head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Presidential Administration Muratbek Azymbakiev;
- Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kyrgyzstan to Azerbaijan Maksat Mamytkanov;
- Minister of Natural Resources, Ecology and Technical Supervision Meder Mashiev;
- Special Representative of the President for the Implementation of Five-Year Action Plan for the Development of Mountain Regions for 2023–2027 Dinara Kemelova.
