Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin met with the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, Akylbek Japarov, who arrived at the House of Government. TASS reported.
The parties discussed current issues of Russian-Kyrgyz trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation, as well as interaction in the Eurasian Economic Union.
Special attention during the negotiations was paid to the implementation of joint projects in the fields of energy, industry, transport, education and other areas.
The parties held a joint meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Russian Government for the first time.
Akylbek Japarov arrived in the Russian Federation for an official visit on October 19. The visit is timed to coincide with the 100th anniversary of the formation of the Kara-Kyrgyz Autonomous Region and the Days of Culture of Kyrgyzstan in Russia. Before this, Japarov and Mishustin met less than a month ago at a meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council in Yerevan on October 1.
