Medical and veterinary supplies delivered to ethnic Kyrgyz in Afghanistan

A humanitarian mission led by Deputy Minister of Labor, Social Security and Migration of Kyrgyzstan Bakyt Darmankul uulu delivered medical and veterinary supplies to ethnic Kyrgyz and local residents in Badakhshan Province (Afghanistan). The press service of the ministry reported.

The mission was organized as part of the implementation of the president’s instructions and the implementation of the program to support the ethnic Kyrgyz of the Little and Great Pamirs.

The deputy minister discussed with the governor of Badakhshan Province Mohammad Ayub Khalid the living conditions of ethnic Kyrgyz, as well as the measures taken and upcoming plans of the Badakhshan Province authorities to resolve the social, economic and infrastructural problems of ethnic Kyrgyz.

As part of the mission, a group of doctors (cardiologists, dentists, obstetrician-gynecologist) provided medical assistance to 755 citizens, including 195 women and 180 children. The specialists also trained the local population in the timely detection of infectious and various diseases and the correct use of veterinary drugs for large and small cattle.
