Construction of 5 residential buildings for mudflow victims begins in Tamchi

In accordance with the instructions of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, construction of five residential buildings has begun in Tamchi village, Issyk-Kul district. The State Construction Agency reported.

The project is being implemented by the State Agency for Architecture, Construction, Housing and Public Utilities with the support of Royalsafa LLC. The construction is aimed at providing housing for citizens affected by natural disasters.

Recall, humanitarian aid was delivered to Issyk-Kul and Ton districts for mudflow victims. The north and south of Issyk-Kul region were affected by mudflows — roads, sheepfolds and a house were flooded in Saruu and Kyzyl-Suu villages. On the northern shore of Issyk-Kul lake, courtyards and houses in Bulan-Sogottu, Korumdu and Temirovka villages were damaged. The affected villages were inspected by the head of the Cabinet of Ministers Akylbek Japarov. He announced upcoming compensation payments for the restoration of houses and noted the need for property insurance to protect against natural disasters.
