Preparation for the autumn-winter period is good, so there will be no restrictions on electricity supply. Energy Minister of Kyrgyzstan Taalaibek Ibraev announced at a meeting of Eldik deputy group.
He noted that several online media outlets wrote, citing his interview on Birinchi Radio, that there would be regulating blackouts for 1-1.5 hours this winter.
«This will not happen. We will give information on restrictions to the media. If we say that there will be outages from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m., these are restrictions. But we do not know where and on what street an overload will be. The chief engineer, the heads of the power distribution zones are financially responsible for the transformers. Therefore, so that they do not burn them out, they will introduce restrictions in case of overloads,» Taalaibek Ibraev said.
The head of the Ministry of Energy added that to date the ministry has signed an agreement for 17.5 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity and has carried out the corresponding preparations. «Compared to last year, the preparation is better. The situation is improving every year. Previously, if we had no supports, wires and transformers, this year, thank God, we have everything,» Taalaibek Ibraev said.
