Muftis of Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan agree to intensify cooperation

The muftis of Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan agreed to intensify cooperation. The Chief Mufti of the neighboring republic, Nooruzbai kazhy Taganuly, met with the Supreme Mufti of Muslims of Kyrgyzstan, Abdulaziz kary Zakirov, the website of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the Republic of Kazakhstan says.

The meeting participants discussed the importance of strengthening fraternal relations between the two countries. In addition, the joint implementation of common projects in the religious sphere was discussed. Supreme Mufti Nooruzbai kazhy Taganuly emphasized that Kazakhs and Kyrgyz have always cared for each other and provided mutual support. During the meeting, the parties agreed to intensify bilateral relations. They also agreed to strengthen cooperation in the development of publishing work, clarification of information and holding of sermons.

A special meeting of the Council of Muftis of the Organization of Turkic States will be held in Astana on October 3. Muftis of Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Turkey, Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan will take part in it. They will sign a number of documents. After this, an international scientific and theoretical conference «Kojo Ahmed Yasawi and his spiritual heritage» will be organized.
