President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov opened new educational and administrative buildings of Jalal-Abad State University named after Bekmamat Osmonov.
Construction of a three-story educational building for 1,500 students with a total area of 4,580 square meters and a three-story administrative building has been completed in 2024. The new buildings are equipped with modern computer technologies, furniture and necessary equipment.
The head of state noted the importance of the event for the development of the educational system in the region and the country as a whole.
Sadyr Japarov noted that Jalal-Abad State University can be considered as one of the first educational institutions in Kyrgyzstan, mentioning that short-term pedagogical courses were opened there in 1923.
Then, in 1993, the university itself was established to train highly qualified specialists in such areas as the agro-industrial complex, pedagogical education, construction, electronics and power industry. The university has graduated thousands of specialists, who have made a significant contribution to the development of various industries.
According to the president, the country’s sustainable development requires strong, qualified, modern specialists in all areas. He called on teachers to demonstrate the results of their work in the field of training professional specialists.

The new academic buildings at your university have been built specifically so that you can receive high-quality knowledge, to create comfortable conditions for becoming worthy professionals. Paying tribute to our history and celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Kara-Kyrgyz Autonomous Region, we honor the aspiration of our founding fathers for freedom and knowledge. They understood that great achievements are possible only through education. This same path leads us to the construction of a new Kyrgyzstan,» he said.
Then the head of state spoke with the students, drawing their attention to the fact that the times of the educated are coming; there is need to develop, improve their knowledge and keep up with the times, strive to become worthy professionals in their chosen professions and take an active part in the construction of a new Kyrgyzstan.
