New “White House” shown to UN Special Rapporteur Heba Hagrass

The Presidential Administration hosted a meeting of the Council for Persons with Disabilities under the Cabinet of Ministers. Its press service reported.

The meeting was held by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Edil Baisalov, and the UN Special Rapporteur on the rights of persons with disabilities Heba Hagrass was present as a special guest.

The meeting participants discussed the protection of the rights of people with disabilities, development of rehabilitation centers and implementation of social projects aimed at improving their living conditions and integration into society.

Edil Baisalov emphasized that ensuring equal opportunities for people with special needs is an indicator of the maturity of society, and the state should create conditions for their full participation in the life of the country.

After the meeting, the participants were given a tour around the Presidential Administration building, where they were shown ramps, elevators and other amenities that make the building accessible to people with disabilities.
