Wanted for beating organized crime group member detained in Uzgen

Officers of the Main Criminal Investigation Department detained a 37-year-old man, who was previously wanted for causing grievous bodily harm. The press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.

The police reported that the man and his friends brutally beat two brothers, residents of Kyzyl-Oktyabr village on May 9, 2024, in Uzgen district. As a result, one of them, 27-year-old citizen, suffered grievous bodily harm.

A criminal case has been opened under the article «Causing grievous bodily harm» of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. The 37-year-old man was put on the wanted list.

On August 14, law enforcement officers detained the suspect and placed him in a temporary detention facility. The police added that the detainee is registered as a member of an organized crime group. The investigation continues.
