Kylych Sarbagishev, head of the National Olympic Committee (NOC) of Kyrgyzstan, told about conditions in the Olympic Village and meals for athletes.
According to him, in the first days, when including members of the national team of the Kyrgyz Republic complained about poor nutrition, there were indeed large queues in the canteen of the Olympic Village.
«The organizing committee took into account the complaints of athletes, and the food was improved in quantitative and qualitative terms. After some time, coaches in wrestling, boxing and judo were asked about this issue. According to the coaches, at the moment there is a sufficient number of salads, fruits, berries and main courses. The NOC has also organized additional food for athletes in the form of national dishes — shorpo, freshly cooked meat and chicken,» he said.
Kylych Sarbagishev added that the Olympic Village has single, double, 4-bed and six-bed rooms. At the request of coaches, all Kyrgyz athletes were accommodated in single and double rooms.
«There is not a single president of the federation or official in the village. Only coaches and athletes live there. There are also chief missions and NOC attachés, this is a mandatory requirement of the IOC. They provide organizational work — meetings, reports, doping tests. The NOC paid special attention to the medical staff, who are also in the village,» the head of the National Olympic Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic explained.
Now we have two massage therapists and two doctors for 16 athletes. In Tokyo, there was one doctor and one massage therapist for the same number of athletes.

According to him, the Presidents of the Wrestling and Boxing Federations are in Paris. Travel, accommodation and meals are provided at their expense in nearby hotels. President of the Athletics Federation Kanat Amankulov is in Paris at the invitation of the International Athletics Federation. His expenses are covered by the World Athletics. President of the Swimming Federation Ulan Akmatbaev was also in Paris, he was invited as an international referee. The expenses for his stay were covered by the International and National Swimming Federations. The head of the NOC of the Kyrgyz Republic also commented on the photo of the Minister of Health Alymkadyr Beishenaliev, which was taken in Paris during the Olympics.
«The philanthropist Askar Salymbekov and the Minister of Health Alymkadyr Beishenaliev are attending the Games at their own expense. The organizing committee has the opportunity to visit the Olympic village once. To do this, you need to submit an application 48 hours in advance, which is agreed upon with the organizing committee and the IOC. The minister visited the village within the framework of this opportunity. He talked to doctors, checking the level of medical care for the Olympic team,» Kylych Sarbagishev explained.
