«Unfortunately, several athletes tested positive for COVID that is why the meeting had to be postponed. We wish our athletes a speedy recovery. The meeting will definitely take place and is planned for the end of August at Akorda,» Berik Uali, spokesman for the head of state, said.
The Olympic team of Kazakhstan won seven medals at the Olympic Games in Paris. Judoka Yeldos Smetov won the only gold medal in the up to 60 kilogram weight category.
