The number of crimes committed by teenagers has increased in Kyrgyzstan. Nurzhan Adylova, head of the Public Security Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan, reported.
According to her, 828 crimes involving minors were registered in Kyrgyzstan in the first six months of 2024. That’s 5.8 percent more than in the same period in 2023.
At least 733 crimes were committed against teenagers, which is 17.7 percent more than in the same period in 2023.
Meanwhile, Nurzhan Adylova said, 127 crimes of a sexual nature against teenagers were registered this year, which is 65.3 percent less than in the first six months of 2023.
In addition, the number of suicides among minors has decreased — 12 less than in the same period of 2023.
