The Parliament of Kyrgyzstan accepted a report on the activities of the National Bank over the past year.
The new chairman of the country’s main bank, Melis Turgunbaev, made a report to deputies.
He noted that the profit of the National Bank in 2023 amounted to 12,436,056 billion soms. This is 22.07 percent more than in 2022.
Expenses of the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic also increased 2.2 times and amounted to 3.2 billion soms.
The last plenary meeting of the Parliament before the summer recess took place today, June 27. Deputies will go to work with the electorate until September.
