The chess team from Kyrgyzstan won a silver medal in the team scoring at the 8th World Games of Young Compatriots in Moscow. The Chess Federation of Osh region and Osh city reported to 24.kg news agency.
Kyrgyzstan was represented by athletes Rayana Smagulova and Aaly Ermekov.
At least 28 chess players and 26 women chess players from more than 20 countries took part in the tournament.
In rapid among girls, Rayana Smagulova scored seven points out of nine possible and took second place, and Aaly Ermekov finished the tournament fourth with seven points, losing bronze only on an additional indicator.
In the blitz, Aaly Ermekov scored five points and took third place, Rayana Smagulova scored 4.5 points and took the sixth place.
