Solar panels installed for low-income families in Chui region

Solar panels have been installed for ten families in Chui region of Kyrgyzstan. The press service of the Ministry of Labor, Social Security and Migration reported.

The minister Gulnara Baatyrova inspected the progress of Nur-Kubat project, which is being implemented in pilot mode in Zhaiyl and Chui districts.

«On New Year’s Eve, solar panels were installed for low-income families who receive ui bulogo komok allowance. Excess electricity generated will be bought by the state, which will provide families with additional funds,» the minister said.

Gulnara Baatyrova recalled that by the decree of President Sadyr Japarov, in order to provide targeted social support to low-income families in the context of rising prices for socially important goods, tariff for electricity was reduced by 40 percent — up to 50 tyiyns per 1 kilowatt-hour in case of consumption of up to 700 kilowatt-hours per month.
