The V World Nomad Games will be held in Astana from September 8 to September 14. El.kz reports, citing the press service of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
This time the participation of more than 100 countries and about 4,000 participants is expected.
As part of the sports program, it is planned to hold competitions in 20 competitive and 10 demonstration sports, including horse racing, national wrestling, intellectual games, martial arts, archery, national types of bird hunting, folk games and demonstration performances in ethnic types of sports.
The ethno-aul Universe of Nomads in the very center of Astana will become a platform for getting to know the culture and traditions of the Kazakh people, as well as the culture of the participating countries. Up to 30,000 residents and guests will be able to visit the ethno-aul every day. The event will be held under the motto «Uly Dala Dubiri» — «Meeting in the Great Steppe».
