A 32-year-old woman tourist from Kyrgyzstan was found hanging in a hotel room in Rishikesh city, India. The Times of India reported.
The police believe she took her own life, using an air conditioner wire for hanging herself.
As it is reported, the woman had arrived in Rishikesh with a group of foreign tourists for a meditation programme at Satya Sadhna Sansthan Tapovan on December 12.
After completing the course on January 2, she stayed at Holiday Home hotel. She went missing on January 3.
She was later found hanging in an unlocked room at Raj Resort hotel.
«We registered a missing person report on Friday based on a complaint from her friend. Meanwhile, the resort owner informed us that she was found hanging in her room. The body has been sent for post-mortem, and we have initiated a probe,» Muni ki Reti SHO Ritesh Saha said.
The woman’s friend said she was distressed due to marital issues.
