Moratorium imposed on issuance of tickets to resorts of Trade Unions Federation

A moratorium on issuing tickets to sanatoriums and resorts of the Federation of Trade Unions at the expense of the Workers’ Health Fund has been imposed. The decree was signed by the President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov.

The decision was made in order to improve the organization of sanatorium-resort rehabilitation of workers and members of their families who are their dependents, to create an effective mechanism to manage the financing of measures to improve the health of workers.

The moratorium is imposed until December 31, 2027.

«The funds coming into the fund shall be used for capital construction and repair of facilities of sanatorium-resort institutions, improvement of their material and technical base,» the document says.

The Federation of Trade Unions of Kyrgyzstan was recommended until December 31, 2023 to transfer all objects of sanatorium-resort institutions owned by them to the Presidential Affairs Department of the Kyrgyz Republic for temporary gratuitous use.

«The Presidential Affairs Department was instructed together with the Federation of Trade Unions of Kyrgyzstan within a week to compile a list of objects of sanatorium and resort institutions transferred for temporary use to the Presidential Affairs Department, to accept them until December 31, 2023 and to take measures to bring sanatorium, resort and tourist facilities in proper form,» the decree says.

The decree comes into force after ten days from the date of official publication.

Earlier, the Federation of Trade Unions sent to President Sadyr Japarov and the head of the Cabinet of Ministers Akylbek Japarov proposals for a way out of the critical situation in the trade union movement — to transfer to the Cabinet of Ministers for temporary gratuitous use sanatorium-resort facilities for their restoration and further use, as well as the function of distribution of funds of the Workers’ Health Fund.
