The President’s address to the participants of «United People — Strong Country» Forum, dedicated to the topic of interethnic relations and the implementation of the Kyrgyz Zharany concept, which was held in Bishkek, says.
«In an effort to achieve the unity of our people, we must clearly state: the development of the state language, the preservation of multilingualism is the call of the times. The Kyrgyz language, as we all know well, according to the Constitution, has the status of the state language of the Kyrgyz Republic. In July of this year, the constitutional Law on the State Language of the Kyrgyz Republic was adopted. Knowledge of the state language and learning of the Kyrgyz language increase our belonging to our native land and significantly enrich our horizons and worldview.

Sadyr Japarov noted that Russian will also retain an important role in the life of the people in its status as an official language. It should be remembered that by learning a language, we not only master a way of communication, but also receive the key to the soul of the people, their unique and inimitable worldview, spiritual and moral values.
«Such are the needs of today’s world that we must actively work to ensure that every Kyrgyzstani is fluent, in addition to the state Kyrgyz language, in his or her native dialect, as well as official Russian and one of the foreign languages. In this regard, it is very important for us to develop and introduce multilingual education,» the address says.
The time has come for every citizen, every Kyrgyzstani to take responsibility for the future of the country and make their personal contribution to its development and tomorrow’s prosperity.
