Kyrgyzstan sets five key development goals for 2024

The country’s authorities have set five key development goals for 2024. The head of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, Akylbek Japarov, announced at the National Poverty and Inequality Development Forum.

According to him, the success that the government has achieved over the past three years have created a solid basis for new ambitious tasks in order to create a strong and prosperous state.

The head of the Cabinet of Ministers listed the goals:

  • Strengthening the institutional capacity of the state in the field of financial management and administrative reform;
  • Improving the quality of services in the fields of education and healthcare as the basis for innovative development and social well-being;
  • Developing and implementing strategies to promote sustainable economic growth and job creation. Particular attention will be paid to regional development;
  • Expanding cooperation with international partners to mobilize resources, develop new technologies and knowledge, and enter global financial markets. Significant emphasis will be placed on promoting exports and attracting foreign investment;
  • Promoting environmental sustainability, mitigating the effects of adaptation to global climate change.

«These goals are our compass on the path to building a prosperous, successful future for the Kyrgyz people,» Akylbek Japarov said.
