Due to the redistribution of republican budget expenditures, a record 673,515 million soms were allocated to the sphere of culture, art and sports in 2023. The Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Japarov said.
He held a meeting with the leadership and subordinate institutions of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth Policy. The head of the Cabinet of Ministers said that the allocated money will be used for the preservation and development of historical and cultural heritage, the development of professional art, strengthening the human resources, material and technical base of cultural and art organizations, and improving the regulatory legal framework of the cultural sector.
«The most important thing is that state support, including theater, musical art and education, can change the situation in which the cultural sphere now finds itself. Decisions in this direction must be made promptly and, most importantly, effectively,» Akylbek Japarov concluded.
