Chairman of the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan Kamchybek Tashiev handed over the keys to a two-room apartment in Bishkek to border guard Tairbek Inkhamov, who was wounded during clashes on September 16, 2022 on the Kyrgyz-Tajik state border. The press center of the state committee reported.
Kamchybek Tashiev also expressed deep gratitude to the parents of Tairbek Inkhamov for raising their son, who showed courage and the strength of mind during the clashes, and noted that he is a shining role model for the younger generation and that the state will not forget the merits of the heroes who participated in the clashes.
The State Committee for National Security reported that Tairbek Inkhamov, as a result of a mortar explosion, received severe shrapnel wounds to his legs, a perforating gunshot wound to his arm, and lost his left eye. He currently lives with his parents.
At least 206 people were injured and 63 were killed during the invasion of Tajikistan into Kyrgyzstan on September 16 last year.
