Deputies of Parliament of Kyrgyzstan offer to provide assistance to Palestine

Deputies proposed to provide assistance to people affected by the Israeli-Palestinian conflict at a meeting of the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan.

Deputy Jalolidin Nurbaev said that deputies are approached with the question how assistance can be provided to the residents of Palestine.

«I offer the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to open an account. Some want to hand over financial support to the affected Palestinians on behalf of the people of Kyrgyzstan, but do not know how to do this. It would be good if they transfer it through the Foreign Ministry,» he said.

His colleague Aibek Osmonov supported the proposal. «What is happening in Palestine now... Our Muslim brothers, children, women are on the street. There is no water. Those who want to help come to us. Maybe we should organize a corridor and send humanitarian aid. The Parliament must also express its position,» the deputy noted.

Deputy Zhanybek Kydykbaev suggested that deputies allocate a one-day salary in support of Palestine.

«The situation in Palestine is difficult now. It would be good if we allocated one day’s salary. Let the Cabinet of Ministers find a way to provide assistance. We say that we are Muslims, but we are silent. Flash mobs against war are taking place in America. We must also indicate our position. When our neighbors attacked us, it was hard for us too. Help from the regions was warmly welcomed. We can also provide such assistance,» he said.

An explosion occurred at Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital in Gaza in the evening of October 17. The Hamas-controlled Gaza Ministry of Health said about 800 people were killed.
