Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, Edil Baisalov, apologized to the deputies at a meeting of Parliament.
He noted that he accepts criticism in his address.
«I have never had any desire or right to question the powers and rights of the Parliament. You know very well, I have always fought for democracy, open power, people’s control and constructive, harmonious existence of the branches of power. I officially apologize to you. I have apologized through the media before. I believe that we will continue to work constructively,» the official said.
Speaker Nurlanbek Shakiev said that Edil Baisalov apologized to the Parliament on behalf of President Sadyr Japarov.
«The meeting was attended by the head of state, the chairman of the Cabinet, faction leaders and deputy speakers. Then the president said that Edil Baisalov would officially apologize and would not make any more unfortunate mistakes. He was given a final warning. If the same repeats, we will take drastic measures,» the speaker said.
It should be noted that recently MPs have often expressed dissatisfaction with the work of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet Edil Baisalov. MP Shailoobek Atazov even proposed to form a working group to assess job competence of Baisalov. The same MP demanded resignation of the official.
