The State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan (SCNS) detained the former director and chief engineer of the branch of the motor transport enterprise of Kyrgyzaltyn OJSC, which is located in Balykchy city, Issyk-Kul region. The SCNS press center reported.
They were placed in a temporary detention facility for financial violations.
It was found out that dozens of units of special equipment and vehicles on the balance sheet of the branch of the motor transport enterprise since 2020 were inoperative. Despite this, the responsible persons of the enterprise purchased spare parts and fuels and lubricants for them.
From 2019 to 2021 the former director of the branch of the motor transport enterprise of Kyrgyzaltyn OJSC and an entrepreneur concluded fictitious contracts for the supply of materials necessary for the repair of railway tracks, their installation and dismantling. However, the contractor did not supply materials and did not carry out repairs, but only participated in the competition at the request of the responsible persons of the branch.
All money transferred to the contractor’s bank account was handed over to the employees of the branch of the motor transport enterprise of Kyrgyzaltyn OJSC.
From January 1, 2020 to August 1, 2023, the amount of financial violations reached 12,242,627 soms. A criminal case has been initiated under Article 245 «Abuse of office by employees of commercial or other organizations, committed with causing especially large damage» of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
An investigation is underway.
