A club from the highest league of Italy offered cooperation for the development of youth football in Kyrgyzstan. Press service of the Foreign Affairs Ministry reported.
According to it, Ambassador Taalai Bazarbaev met with the commercial director and head of the division for the development of youth football of the Italian club Cagliari Calcio Stefon Melis andMarco Mancosu.
The parties discussed the issue of establishing cooperation between the Kyrgyz Football Union and the football clubs of the Kyrgyz Republic with Cagliari Calcio.
The Ambassador proposed to consider the issue of exchange of work experience and advanced training, including between directors, coaches, responsible employees for the development of youth football in the Kyrgyz Republic.
Taalaibek Bazarbaev proposed to Cagliari Calcio Club to sign a bilateral agreement aimed at implementation of the aforementioned proposals, as well as organizing joint sports events and bilateral friendly matches.
The management of Cagliari Calcio football club expressed their readiness to cooperate with the Kyrgyz side and support the initiatives announced.
To discuss the implementation of the agreements reached, Ambassador Taalai Bazarbaev was invited to visit the headquarters of Cagliari Calcio club in September to meet with the president of the football club,Tommaso Giulini.
The Italian football club Cagliari Calcio was founded in 1920. It is champion of Italy 1970. From 2022/2023 season, it has again participated in one of the strongest world football championships. The coach of Cagliari Calcio is the famous football coach Claudio Ranieri, who won the championship title with Leicester football club, and also headed such world clubs as Valencia, Inter, Napoli, Roma, Chelsea, Juventus, and others.
