Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Japarov met with member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, Secretary of the Party Committee of Qinghai province Chen Gang. Press service of the Cabinet reported.
The parties discussed a wide range of issues of cooperation in all areas of mutual interest. The head of the Cabinet noted that three months ago Issyk-Kul region established sister city relations with Qinghai province (PRC).
«Issyk-Kul region has great potential in developing cooperation in the field of energy sector, agriculture, industry, logistics, tourism and other areas,» Akylbek Japarov said.
He also mentioned the construction of China — Kyrgyzstan — Uzbekistan railway.
«The railway will become an integral part and practical implementation of Chinese President Xi Jinping’s One Belt, One Road initiative, an important regional project of infrastructural connectivity and will become a bridge not only for our country, but also for the countries of Central Asia,» the head of the Cabinet believes.
Akylbek Japarov noted a number of promising areas of cooperation, in particular, hydropower, renewable energy sources, tourism and agriculture.
«We have favorable conditions for launching joint projects in the field of agriculture, promotion of export of organic agricultural products from Kyrgyzstan to China, including Qinghai province. The Kyrgyz side is interested in strengthening cooperation in the field of animal husbandry, agriculture, production of biological products and bio fertilizers, in the field of introduction of drip irrigation systems for greenhouses,» Akylbek Japarov said.
In turn, Chen Gang expressed readiness to support in all areas of Kyrgyzstan — China multilateral cooperation and invited Akylbek Japarov to visit Qinghai province.
