Members of Butun Kyrgyzstan political party were preparing for mass protests and large-scale riots in the country, followed by a violent seizure of power. Press center of the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan (SCNS) reported.
A criminal case has been initiated under the article «Calls for mass riots» of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
«Searches were carried out in the houses of 10 members of Butun Kyrgyzstan party in Sokuluk, Moskovsky districts and Bishkek. In addition to party materials, bank cards and information on financial income of party members were seized. Party vests, banners, posters and other material evidence confirming their criminal intentions were also confiscated,» the SCNS noted.
Supporters of Butun Kyrgyzstan party were placed in the temporary detention center of the SCNS.
«Actions of the supporters of Adakhan Madumarov were coordinated by the central headquarters of Butun Kyrgyzstan party, in particular, employees of the secretariat of Butun Kyrgyzstan parliamentary faction, who, maintaining contacts with Madumarov’s supporters, created groups in mobile applications, instant messengers and on social media. They exerted a destructive influence on ordinary party members to use their capabilities in organizing protests associated with preparations for mass riots,» the state committee commented.
