Six people were killed and eight more were injured in a road accident in Samara Oblast of Russia. The Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the region reported on Telegram.
The incident occurred on June 27, 2023 at about 1.30 a.m. on the 110th kilometer of A-300 highway. Honda Stepwgn minivan and Hyundai Elantra collided.
«Six people died at the scene, eight more were taken to a medical institution with injuries,» the statement says.
According to local media, all those killed and injured in the accident on the Samara highway are foreigners — citizens of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan.
«According to preliminary information, the road accident occurred when the Hyundai car driven by a citizen of the Kyrgyz Republic entered the oncoming lane. As a result of the collision, the driver of the car and four passengers were fatally injured. One passenger of Honda minivan also died at the scene. Eight more — a driver and seven passengers — are currently receiving medical assistance,» the statement says.
