Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Japarov, as part of a working trip to Sochi, took part in a meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council in a narrow format.
The agenda of the meeting consisted of ten issues, including in the field of further development of free trade, regulation of the alcohol market within the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), an integrated information system and digital agenda, and the union’s electricity market.
The heads of government heard a report on the implementation of the first package of measures (roadmap) for cooperation between the EAEU member states within the framework of the climate agenda.
Based on the results of consideration of the initiative, the Russian side of the Eurasian Economic Commission, together with other states, was instructed to work out the issue of creating a Eurasian rating agency.
«Creation of such an organization will increase the level of financial independence of the countries of the Eurasian region, will help increase mutual investment, and will also eliminate a number of sensitive obstacles in the internal market of the Union,» the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic said in a statement.
The parties discussed in detail the implementation of previous instructions and agreements within the framework of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council.
The next meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council was agreed to be held in August 2023 in Cholpon-Ata.
