Prices for the gasoline group may increase by 2.5-3 soms per liter in the fuel and lubricants market of Kyrgyzstan during June. The Association of Oil Traders gives such forecast.
According to it, oil trading companies intend to continue the policy of smoothing price increases and avoiding sudden changes.
The Association recalled that the exchange price of gasoline on the St. Petersburg Commodity Exchange in May 2023 updated its historical maximum and reached more than 61,700 rubles per ton. To date, the Russian authorities are discussing the possibility of a temporary ban on the export of gasoline in order to avoid its shortage and continued growth in prices on the domestic market. In this regard, local suppliers in Kyrgyzstan are experiencing difficulties in providing country with the resource for June. The issue is not about selling prices, but about the availability of the resource for shipment to the Kyrgyz Republic.
